Classes & Skills

Most skills have been reverted back to a retail-like behavior, with certain classes receiving various new skills & improvements to make them relevant within the game.

Class Improvements

• Improved Servitor Buffs added to summoner classes (disabled in Olympiad)
• Improved Self-Buffs added to Prophet, Elven Elder, Shillien Elder, Bladedancer & Swordsinger
• Skill Sweeper Festival added to Scavenger

Mechanics

Skill mechanics and balance adjustments.

• Aura-Flash is now a holy-type skill
• Cancel has an increased cool-down and removes buffs for 10 seconds (buffs return)
• Mage critical damage reduced to x3
• FOI works like GF chronicle
• Symbol of Noise removes dances & songs for 30 seconds (buffs return)
• Mana Burn and Mana Storm critical chance disabled
• Seed of Wind, Water and Fire can only be casted on party members
• Nobless Blessing does not occupy a buff slot (decreased cast-time on fighters)
• Healing dots and potions won't take buff slot
• Hot Spring Buffs are disabled
• Restore Life no longer affects mobs or raid bosses
• Might of Heaven works on all mobs (not only undead)

How Debuffs vs. Resists Work

Interlude retail math, explained clearly.

• Debuff resistance reduces the remaining chance of a debuff landing, not the original base rate.
• Multiple resists stack multiplicatively, giving diminishing returns but still strongly reducing success chance.

Example

Base stun chance

50%

Majestic/Major set (50% resist)

50% → 25%

Resist Shock (40% resist)

25% → 15%

50% × (1 − 0.50) × (1 − 0.40) = 15% final chance

Separate example: 90% total resist

50% × (1 − 0.90) = 5% final chance
